Hildy Getz, Ed.D. is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed
Marriage and Family Therapist. She is a clinical member of the American
Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Getz has worked as a
counselor in Roanoke for 30 years, previously at Pastoral Counseling Center
and Associates in Psychiatry and Counseling. She also has had an academic
career, teaching in Counselor Education at Virginia Tech. Dr. Getz has
published and made conference presentations at local, regional and national
levels. Retiring recently from full-time teaching, Dr. Getz is now an Associate
Professor Emeritus from VA Tech.

  Dr. Getz sees clients two days a week in her private practice at the Manassas
Group. She works with adults, individuals and couples, who are dealing with
stress, depression, relationship problems, separation & divorce, remarriage,
attention deficit disorder, and grief issues. She believes that a respectful,
collaborative relationship is key to positive outcomes in the counseling process.
