Ann Lusby-Denham, LCSW, has had over seventeen years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked in private practice, community mental health, and as a pastoral counselor. Her life-long interest in writing poetry led to her volunteering, in 1978, to help local community mental health center clients express their feelings by writing poetry and prose. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree at Virginia Tech, she went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. Ann embraces a holistic approach to therapy, within which body, mind, and spirit are the foundation for healing. She views Life as a journey to wholeness in which her role as therapist is helping individuals find tools for accessing their fullest potential. She is trained in Imago Relationship Therapy and Mind-Body therapies – such as Emotional Freedom Techniques, combining Cognitive Therapy with the use of acupressure. |
